Editorial: Nova Science Publishers.

Resumen/Índice:

This book describes the magnitude and the intensity of poverty in Latin America, Mexico and the state of Nuevo Leon using statistics. The studies that are reported were made in poor habitants of the state of Nuevo Leon. The contributors wish to thank many authorities and institutions for their cooperation. This publication would not have been possible without the help of the Universidad Autónoma  de Nuevo León and, more importantly, the subjects of the studes who participated in the hope of changing their tragic destinies. this book is dedicated to the poor people of the world, especially those of Nuevo Leon, who make an effort everyday to have a better future for their children. This work also provides the reader with a compendium of the investigations. However, the best way to appreciate the full value and importance of the studies reviewed here is by reading all of them in their entirety.

The authors are very pleased with Nova Science Publishers and particularly with its president, Mr. Frank Columbus for allowing us to share with our colleagues and interested readers these investigations. Although the investigations are extensive they do not exhaust the great theoretical and empirical potential that still exists on the matter in other states of our country. Finally, we would like to thank the Academic Body of Social Psychology of the School of Psychology at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León.
